FAQs

What is a therapeutic treatment plan?

1

A treatment plan is a collaborative process and roadmap. At Root & Resolve, we listen. We seek to understand. We sit beside you - not as the all-knowing expert in the room, but as a humble human who has walked many roads of healing with thousands of others - including my own. This process is led by you with a guide by your side - cheering you on, shedding light on the potholes, and holding a lantern over your map while you navigate this brand new chapter. A treatment plan helps us identify the mile markers up ahead.

How is this different than talk therapy?

2

Talk therapy has great benefits. If it wasn’t a great tool, it wouldn’t have outlasted the countless other methods out there. However, talk therapy is one of many tools in therapy. It doesn’t necessarily mean it should be the remedy for every mental ailment you experience. At Root & Resolve, we collaborate. We compassionately challenge. We get authentically curious. We help you reconnect to yourself with clarity, confidence, and a calm serenity - that balance of accepting what we can change and what we can’t change.

How do I know if this is right for me?

3

If you’re ready to do the work to get to where you want to be, then you’ll be ready for this work. Like training for a marathon, we’ll start slow. Break down muscle, build it up, and rest frequently. Physical workouts can often times be easier than the psychological ones needed for lasting change.

How do you incorporate psychedelics into your practice?

4

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in both Indiana and Colorado. I am also a trained, certified, and licensed as a Psychedelic-Assisted Facilitator and Natural Medicine Facilitator in Colorado. Psychedelics include Ketamine, Psilocybin, Ibogaine, and Mescaline. In Indiana, Ketamine is currently the only legal psychedelic approved for medical treatment, but the others are legal and available in Colorado. Inquire further to better understand your options, including retreats held for Indiana residents in Colorado.
